The Regular Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at , November 5, 2008 with Mayor Walter leading the pledge of allegiance.  Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum:

Town Supervisor:                     Mike Flock

Police Chief:                             Kenny Elwood

Fire Chief:                                Joe Wells

Town Attorney:                        Greg Knudsen

 

CM Gilchriest moved to approve the agenda as printed.  CM Welte supplied the second and the motion carried 4-0.

CM Welte move to approve the minutes of the 22 October council meeting as published.  CM Gilchriest provided a second and the measure carried without dissent.

Mayor Walter reported the bills in order for October CM Gilchriest moved payment for $80,968.01.  CM Unverzagt voiced the second and the motion passed unanimously.

PC Elwood reported his participation in the challenge day at the school and encourages anyone invited to the event to accept the opportunity.

FC Wells reported five fire and four ambulance calls for October.  The LVFD Christmas party is scheduled for 13 December.

CT Kendall presented the financial report for September and placed it on file.

The council by consensus agreed to have the annual town Christmas party on 17 December in the Legion Hall and have the event catered.

The council approved the catering permit for the Corner Bar for 8 November by consensus.

The council directed CT Kendall to vote the ballot for the WGIF election.

TA Knudsen requested the council go into executive session for personnel issues.  The mayor recessed the meeting at to go into executive session.

The mayor reconvened the meeting at

CM Gilchriest moved to readvertise the police officer position until the job is filled.  CM Unverzagt input the second and the motion passed without dissent.

CM Gilchriest moved to increase the wage level to $13 an hour upon entry and increase to $14.50 hourly after a year and successful completion of the law enforcement academy.  CM Welte offered a second and the measure passed on a vote of 4-0.

Mayor Walter adjourned the meeting at
