The Regular Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at , October 22, 2008 with Mayor Pro Tem Gilchriest leading the pledge of allegiance.  Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum:

                                                                        Absent:                        Russell Walter

Asst Town Supervisor:  Larry Haeffelin

Police Chief:                             Kenny Elwood

Town Attorney:                        Greg Knudsen

 

CM Brown moved to adopt the agenda as presented.  CM Welte submitted the second and the motion passed without dissent.

CM Welte moved to approve the minutes of the 8 October regular council meeting as published.  CM Unverzagt voiced a second and the measure carried unanimously.

Under public comment, the owners of Ty’s Pit Stop and Rose Brothers addressed the council about providing more lead-time in the future when electrical outages are scheduled.  The council will attempt to give all parties involved as much notice as possible.

ATS Haeffelin reported that two water valves, one water meter at the wellhead and one fire hydrant were successfully installed without any problems.

PC Elwood reported three applicants for the vacant officer position and he will schedule interviews in the second half of November.

The council by consensus agreed to cancel the second meeting of November and in its place hold a Town Hall meeting in conjunction with GCEDC to gather input from Lingle residents on economic development issues.
