CM Watson moved to accept the agenda as presented. CM Unverzagt offered a second and the measure carried unanimously. CM Welte moved to approve the minutes of the 7 May regular council meeting and the 14 May budget work session as distributed. CM Gilchriest input the second and the motion passed without dissent. In the area of bills, the council directed to withhold 50% of the final pool payment until correction of any outstanding discrepancies. ATS Haeffelin reported good progress in preparing town facilities for the Memorial Day weekend. He also gained council approval for a replacing a sidewalk at its old location. The council discussed adoption of the 2006 International Building Code and directed the necessary ordinance be prepared to do so. TA Knudsen reported completion of the MOU with the county for EMC services and all parties had signed. He also advised the town he would need to seek an alternate attorney to represent the town in a pending case where he had a conflict of interest. The council understood as voiced no objection to the arrangement. CT Kendall presented the financial report for April and placed it on file for future reference. The council directed payment of WSI training classes for pool guards. CM Welte moved to approve ORDINANCE #302, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING ARTICLE 1 SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE #212 PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN RATES FOR EACH KWH OF ELECTRICITY USED, on first reading. CM Unverzagt supplied a second and the motion carried on a vote of 5-0. CM Welte moved to approve ORDINANCE #303, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING ARTICLE 3 SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE #212 PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN SEWER RATES, on first reading. CM Gilchriest input the second and the motion passed 5-0. CM Watson moved to approve ORDINANCE #304, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE TOWN OF LINGLE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR CM Watson thanked the council for the opportunity to serve with them and presented each of the town employees with a 100 Grand bar in thanks for their good service. The council in turn thanked Della for her many faithful years of dedicated service on behalf of residents. She recommended the mayor consider appointing Tami Brown to be the councilperson for looking after matters relating to the swimming pool. Mayor Walter will consider the appointment.
